Cesaria Evora, who died on Dec. 17 at the age of 70, was
called "the barefoot diva" but aside from the stunning voice, she was nothing
of a diva. She was the anti-diva. She was the least self-centred star you could

French music industry executive and producer Jean-Philippe Allard — whose passion for jazz led him to sign, work with and produce artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Abbey Lincoln, Ornette Coleman, or John McLaughlin, among others — has passed away on May 18, 2024 at the age of 67, following a brief illness.

Sony Music sues Marriott over the unlicensed use of 931 songs in advertisements on social media

Sony Music Entertainment has filed a lawsuit against Marriott International in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware in which it accuses the hotel chain of "rampant infringement" for the unlicensed use of 931 songs featured in advertisements for the brand on social media.
