US legislators launch probe into the ticketing industry

US legislators have launched an investigation into practices in the live event ticketing industry, looking into "potential unfair and deceptive practices in the live event ticketing industry."

The probe is targeting companies such as Live Nation, Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), StubHub, Vivid Seats, TicketNetwork, and Tickets.com.

Hong Kong’s Copyright (Amendment) Bill scheduled to pass by the end of the year

David Wong, Director of Hong Kong's Intellectual Property Department, expects the Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2022 to be passed by the region's Legislative Council (LegCo).

Speaking to RTHK at the 12th Business of Intellectual Property Asia Forum, Wong said, “We are striving for the passage of the copyright amendment bill in 2022, to strengthen copyright protection in the digital environment.”

The UK’s CMA completes its market study into music and streaming services without calling for a full market investigation
