EY study: Covid-19 will cost French music sector €4.5bn in lost revenues in 2020

BBC “suspends” the decision to shut down its professional choir BBC Singers

The BBC has announced that it will "suspend" the decision to shut down the BBC Singers, the public broadcaster's full-time professional chamber choir.

The BBC's decision — triggered by a need to cut costs — drew widespread criticism, including from the UK's most prominent music publishing houses —Faber Music, Boosey & Hawkes and Wise Music Group. Warner Music Czech Republic invests in local hip-hop label Mike Roft

Warner Music Czech Republic has renewed its partnership and invested in local hip-hop label Mike Roft, the company set up by Czech artists Calin and D-Kop, and video director and graphic designer Radim Zboril, who will remain investors in the venture and will continue to manage it as an independent label.

Marathon Artists and Transgressive Publishing sign punk band HotWax

London-based music companies Marathon Artists and Transgressive Publishing have signed British punk band HotWax to, respectively, a recording agreement and a global music publishing deal.
