South Korea’s KOMCA prepares to host CISAC’s May 30 General Assembly

CEOs, creators and staff from more than 72 societies and collective management organisations from around the world will gather on May 30 in Seoul for the General Assembly of CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers.

The meeting is hosted by South Korea's music authors’ society Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) and coincides with the 60th anniversary celebrations of KOMCA, which holds a seat on the CISAC Board.

CISAC launches new advocacy podcast series — CISAC Creators Conversations

CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers, has launched a new educational podcast, CISAC Creators Conversations, as a way to "strengthen and support CISAC’s advocacy work around the world."

The first episode of the podcast is a conversation between CISAC’s Director of Creators Anna Neale, with UK-based songwriters who write for the K-pop market, coinciding with the May 30 CISAC General Assembly in Seoul, hosted by music society KOMCA.

France’s neighbouring rights societies SCPP and ADAMI sign ‘historic’ merger agreement
