EVEARA, which operates as a B2B white label digital music distribution PaaS, has started a partnership with Sony Electronics to support their 360 Reality Audio experience.

EVEARA is currently only provider supporting Sony’s 360 Reality Audio format, enabling music creators to use of Sony’s immersive audio experience when distributing their music through its white label partners network. EVEARA has previously sealed a similar agreement supporting Dolby's Atmos Music.

France’s SACD and ADAGP renew licensing agreement with Amazon Prime Video

SACD, the French rights society for drama repertoire, and visual artists' society ADAGP have concluded a new licensing agreement with Amazon's video service Prime Video. The deal includes Prime's subscription video-on-demand and its channel distribution activities.

Senate Judiciary Committee approves by a 15-7 vote the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act to support local news

The US Senate Judiciary Committee advanced the bipartisan Journalism Competition and Preservation Act (JCPA or bill S. 673), sponsored by Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and John Kennedy (R-La.).

The aim of the legislation is to "support small, local, independent and conservative news publications by giving them a level playing field in negotiations with Big Tech platforms that often prevent them from making a profit from their work online," according to the co-sponsors of the bill.
