Appeals Court rules in favour of SiriusXM against Flo & Eddie on performance royalties for pre-1972 recordings

A Court of Appeals in California​ reversed a District Court’s decision that found in favour of Flo & Eddie, from the band The Turtles, in their action against SiriusXM to get royalties payment for the use of their pre-1972 recordings when they were played on the satellite radio service.

Two Russian nationals Anton Napolsky and Valeriia Ermakova were charged by a Federal Court in Brooklyn, with criminal copyright infringement, wire fraud and money laundering for operating Z-Library, an online ebook piracy website.
