US music rights society SoundExchange has promoted two of executives from its legal team as Chief Legal Officer Colin Rushing announced his decision to step down at the end of 2021 after almost 14 years at the company. ASCAP collected $1.94bn in 2025, up 6.0%, with distributions up 3.7% to $1.75bn

US music rights society ASCAP collected a record-breaking $1.94 billion in revenue in the 2025 calendar year, up 6.0% over 2024, with $1.76bn available for royalty distributions to ASCAP music creator and publisher members, a 3.7% increase over the prior year.
