Suzanne Barnett appointed interim Chief Copyright Royalty Judge

Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden has appointed Judge Suzanne Barnett as interim Chief Copyright Royalty Judge and head of the Copyright Royalty Board, with immediate effect.

Barnett is replacing Chief Judge Jesse Feder who is stepping down from the position which he has held since 2019. The Library will start searching for a replacement to Feder "in the near future." Barnett will serve on the Copyright Royalty Board alongside Judge David Strickler and Judge Steve Ruwe.

The IPO Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and ISPs operating in the country have signed a voluntary site-blocking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will lead ISPs to disable access to websites that offer unlicensed content.
