ZZ Top give all their lovin’ to BMG and KKR in deal covering recording and publishing

Bertelsmann-owned music company BMG and investment firm KKR have acquired the "entire music interests" of American rock band ZZ Top. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The relationship between BMG and ZZ Top is not new as BMG already served as co-publisher and administrator of ZZ Top’s publishing catalogue. The new agreement includes a buyout of the band’s publishing catalogue and their income from recorded royalties and performance royalties.

Kobalt signs partnership with Nigerian company Inner Circle Publishing

Independent music publisher Kobalt has signed a new deal with Nigerian publishing company Inner Circle Publishing (INCP). Details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Kobalt said the agreement marks "a significant move in expanding Kobalt’s footprint within the African music market." Inner Circle Publishing was co-founded by Caleb Oyolola and Promise Dennis earlier this year.
