Proper Music Group and Bertus agree to a more coordinated sales and distribution system in Europe

Utopia-owned Proper Music Group and Bertus, two of Europe’s main physical distributors, have agreed to a new sales and distribution deal to deliver a more coordinated system to clients with the aim of simplifying processes across Europe.
The two distributors will now operate with just two warehouses, located in the UK and the Netherlands. The new set-up will result in "less product moved and fewer returns," as well as help to deliver lower emissions."

Kobalt signs partnership with Nigerian company Inner Circle Publishing

Independent music publisher Kobalt has signed a new deal with Nigerian publishing company Inner Circle Publishing (INCP). Details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Kobalt said the agreement marks "a significant move in expanding Kobalt’s footprint within the African music market." Inner Circle Publishing was co-founded by Caleb Oyolola and Promise Dennis earlier this year.
