PRS for Music, BMI, ASCAP join SIAE in suspending royalty payments to Russia’s RAO

British performing rights organisation PRS for Music as well as American rights societies BMI and ASCAP have announced that they were suspending the reciprocal representation agreement with Russia's music rights society RAO, with immediate effect and for the time being.

The British society said the measure was taken "pending confirmation of its separation from the Russian Government and those individuals and companies on the sanctions lists."

Kobalt-owned Amra has invested $50m in technology and infrastructure

Kobalt Music Group-owned global digital collection society Amra claims to have invested in excess of $50 million in technology since 2015, with the bulk of it spent in the past three years.
