Amazon rebrands IBDb TV as Freevee

On April 27, Amazon-owned video streaming service IMDb TV became Freevee. Amazon said the new name "better defines the brand and what it offers customers — free, premium streaming content."

The ad-supported video-on-demand (AVoD) service joins a busy market which includes Paramount Global’s Pluto TV, Crackle, Tubi and the Roku Channel from Roku. Zebralution has appointed Tina Jürgens as COO of the GEMA-owned digital distribution company for independent labels and artists. She will be part of the management team, alongside Founder and CEO Kurt Thielen and co-Founder and President & General Counsel Sascha Lazimbat.
