Believe renews licensing deals with China’s streaming platforms Tencent Music Entertainment and NetEase Cloud Music

Paris-listed digital music company Believe has renewed licensing deals with China's main digital platforms Tencent Music Entertainment (TME) and NetEase Cloud Music.

Believe said the agreements will be "strengthening the wide range of services it provides to its labels and artists locally." The company added that the renewed deals will result "in wider opportunities to develop its local and international artists on the platforms."

Downtown Music Holdings has promoted Scott Williams to the position of President of CD Baby, the distribution company for independent artists, and Soundrop, a low-cost music distribution service.

Chrysalis and Tommy Boy Records pick Utopia-owned Proper for global distribution

Chrysalis and Tommy Boy Records — both part of Reservoir Media's group of companies — have signed a distribution deal for the world (exclusing America) with distributor Proper, part of the Utopia group of companies, effective July 1, 2022.
