SACD and YouTube renew their licensing agreement for four additional years

France's rights society for drama authors SACD and YouTube have renewed their agreement for four more years.

The announcement, made during the 75th Cannes Film Festival, makes the works of SACD members available to the video streaming platform. YouTube and SACD first sealed a deal in 2010.

As part of this deal, authors represented by the SACD will continue to receive, via SACD, the remuneration for the exploitation of their works by creators and content providers on YouTube.

Digital rights technology company Pex has launched RME-Rights Made Easy, described as a "digital-first rights management organisation, to provide proper attribution and transparent royalty payments for creators worldwide."

PRS for Music launches new portal with metadata from over two million works

PRS for Music has launched a new online portal that provides access to songwriter and composer credits alongside its critical links between works and recordings identifiers.
