Alphabet's Google has dropped its appeal against the €500 million fine imposed by France's competition authority (Autorité de la concurrence) following Google's reluctance to engage in "good faith" negotiations with news publishers and sign remuneration deals for the use of news content.

Visual content marketplace Getty Images has launched, in partnership with NVIDIA, a "commercially safe generative AI tool" that will allows customers "to explore the power of generative AI with full protection and usage rights."

WGA and Hollywood studios reach tentative three-year agreement with ‘meaningful gains and protections for writers’

The Writers' Guild of America (WGA) and the Hollywood studios and streaming platforms have reached a tentative agreement "in principle on all deal points, subject to drafting final contract language," according to the WGA's Negotiating Committee.

Full details of the agreement have not been disclosed. WGA said that while the final agreement has not been approved, writers will remain on strike, as they have been since May 2, 2023.

Concord Music Publishing ANZ has signed Dance Pop duo SACHI — Will Thomas and Nick Chrisp — to a global publishing agreement.
