Dutch provider of illegal IPTV settles for €70,000 following legal action from BREIN

A Dutch provider of illegal IPTV living in South America has settled with anti-piracy organisation BREIN for €70,000.

Through an April 2021 judgment, BREIN obtained from Rabobank the contact details of the IPTV operator. While he initially failed to respond to BREIN's requests, he eventually chose to settle after the organisation initiated legal proceedings against him in June and December.

Prosecutors in Taiwan have indicted four suspects for running a business providing access to set-top box (STB) and accused them of violating the copyrights of 72 companies, including cable TV content providers Videoland and GTV.

Donald Trump sues Bob Woodward for releasing sound recordings of interviews

Former US President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Pensacola, Florida against journalist Bob Woodward, claiming that the journalist infringed on his copyright by releasing audio recordings of a series of interviews he granted to Woodward between December 2019 and August 2020.
