Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) introduces bill to limit the term of copyright to 56 years

US Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) has introduced a bill, named the Copyright Restoration Clause Act of 2022, that would limit the term of copyright to 28, renewable once. The bill was was referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.

As the European Union is preparing to adopt new legislation on artificial intelligence contained in the AI Act, tech companies and organisations representing the tech sector and the creative community continue to push for two different visions on how AI should be regulated in the EU.
