Sovrn secures $36 million in Series C funding round led by VC firm Foundry

Publisher technology platform Sovrn has raised $36 million in a new round of equity financing, with investment from Foundry, Archer Venture Capital, Lexington Partners, Progress Ventures and Structural Capital. Sovrn had previously raised $26m in December 2018.

PRS for Music launches new portal with metadata from over two million works

PRS for Music has launched a new online portal that provides access to songwriter and composer credits alongside its critical links between works and recordings identifiers.

"For the first time, metadata attributed to over 2 million works will be published, with plans to release millions more, over the following 12 months," explained the British music rights society.

Luminate shuts down radio airplay monitoring system BDS and seals an agreement with iHeartMedia’s Mediabase

Luminate, the data and analytics joint venture between MRC and Penske Media, is shutting down its airplay monitoring data service BDSradio in the US and Canada, and has announced a partnership with Mediabase, the airplay monitoring company owned by iHeartMedia via its affiliate RCS.
