7digital Group Chair Tamir Koch steps down; company secures £500,000 loan

Tamir Koch, the chair of B2B digital services company 7digital Group, has resigned the position in order to focus on the development of blockchain-powered platform eMusic Blockchain. Koch will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Mark Foster, who served as non-executive director since April 2015, takes over as interim Chairman with immediate effect.

7digital also announced that it has secured an agreement with Magic Investments for a £500,000 loan. The loan carries interest ...

European Union's Luxembourg-based General Court has affirmed the European Commission's decision to name Bytedance-owned platform TikTok as a "gatekeeper" under the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

TikTok, alongside Meta, challenged in court the decision from the Commission to grant the platforms the "gatekeeper" status, which applies to large online platforms with a significant market share and comes with a specific set of rules — in particular the need to allow interoperability with competitors....

Netflix has added 8.05 million subscribers during the second quarter of 2024, a 16.5% increase year-over-year, beating expectations from analysts. The video streaming company counted 277.65 million subscribers globally at the end of June.

AI:OK launches to support an ethical use of AI in music products and services

Musician and academic Martin Clancy and technology expert David Hughes have launched AI:OK with the goal of "identifying ethically aligned music products and services in the age of AI."
