The European Commission has adopted on 21 January 2026 the Digital Networks Act (DNA), a legislation aimed at modernising the legal framework for connectivity and provide the Union with "an advanced and resilient digital infrastructure." The DNA builds upon the EU Electronic Communications Code (EECC) adopted in 2018.
