Brookfield Asset Management commits to invest up to $2 billion in music catalogues through a deal with Primary Wave Music

Primary Wave Music has secured a $2 billion funding commitment from Brookfield Asset Management to acquire music assets, according to the Wall Street Journal. The deal with see Brookfield, which has $750bn in assets under management, taking a significant minority interest in Primary Wave, and commit to fund up to $1.7bn in a permanent capital vehicle to acquirie music rights.
