Nigerian Copyright Commission signs MoU on piracy with publishers and booksellers

The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigerian Publishers Association and booksellers associations from Onitsha Main Market to ramp up the fight against book piracy.

NCC Director General John Asein said the signing of the MoU was part of a wider plan to tackle the piracy of content and that the MoU would help regulate booksellers activities and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
