Paramount Global revenue up 5% to $6.92bn in Q3; Paramount+ counts 46 million subscribers globally

Paramount Global, the company previously known as ViacomCBS, posted revenue up 5% to $6.92 billion in the third quarter of 2022 ended Sept. 30. The quarterly results fell short of analysts' average estimate of $7.01bn, according to Refinitiv data quoted by Reuters.
Paramount said advertising revenue were down 2%, affecting in particular revenue of its TV Media division, which posted revenue down 5% to $4.95bn. The division includes CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon and Showtime.

The Supervisory Board of German media and entertainment conglomerate Bertelsmann has announced a leadership change atop the company, with current Chairman and CEO Thomas Rabe stepping down at the end of his contract on December 31, 2026, after 15 years in the position, to be replaced by Thomas Coesfeld, the current CEO of music division BMG.
