Music publisher Stanley Mills dies aged 91

US music publisher Stanley Mills has died December 29, 2022 at the age of 91 at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. The cause of death was not disclosed, according to a Billboard report.

Mills, who was born in 1931, started his career in music publishing by working for family-owned Mills Music, until it was sold to EMI Music Publishing in 1964. He then joined E.B. Marks, which became part of Carlin America, and in 1968, he set up September Music and Galahad Music. Th...

Electro pop duo Sofi Tukker has extended its exclusive, worldwide music publishing administration deal with Canadian independent music publisher Third Side Music (TSM).

Thomas Coesfeld to replace Hartwig Masuch as CEO of BMG in 2024

German entertainment and media group Bertelsmann has picked Thomas Coesfeld to succeed Hartwig Masuch as CEO of music division BMG, effective January 1, 2024. Coesfeld has served as CFO of BMG since April 2021.
