US Copyright Office and USPTO set a new Feb. 3 deadline for submissions on NFTs

In response to stakeholder requests, the US Copyright Office and the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) have announced through a Federal Register notice an extension of time for submitting comments and new roundtable dates for their joint study of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). European Commission agrees on the proposed Digital Networks Act (DNA)

The European Commission has adopted on 21 January 2026 the Digital Networks Act (DNA), a legislation aimed at modernising the legal framework for connectivity and provide the Union with "an advanced and resilient digital infrastructure." The DNA builds upon the EU Electronic Communications Code (EECC) adopted in 2018. It addresses the fact that the EU remains fragmented into 27 national markets, and European operators continue to face barriers to operate cross-border and scale-up.
