Netflix gained 7.7 million subscribers in the 4th quarter of 2022, beating expectations

Netflix finished the year 2022 with 231 million paid subscribers globally, adding 7.5 million subscribers in the last quarter, beating the video streaming services' 4.5 million forecast.

The company said Q4 subscription figures were due "to both strong acquisition and retention, driven primarily by the success of our Q4 content slate." Most of the growth came from the Asia Pacific region.

Comcast-owned streaming service Peacock ended 2022 with 20 million paid subs

Video streaming service Peacock has passed the 20 million subscribers mark at the end of 2022, according to financial information released by parent company Comcast.
