Soundhound is laying off 50% of worforce

Sound recognition app SoundHound has let go half of its staff, or 200 people, according to a report in Gizmodo based on internal sources. The company had already laid off 10% of its workforce two months ago.

SoundHound counted 450 employees before the two waves of redundancies. In his email to staff seen by Gizmodo, SoundHound co-founder and CEO Keyvan Mohajer said the climate changed with investors, putting pressure on the company to achieve targets.
