Over half of the US general population aged over 13 claims to have played video games in the past 12 months, driven by massive adoption by Gen Z-ers, according to figures released by Luminate.

Private equity firm Blackstone Inc. has made a counterproposal to the $1.4 billion offer made by Concord to purchase London-listed Hipgnosis Songs Fund (HSF). Blackstone is offering to pay $1.5bn for the catalogues owned by HSF, offering $1.24 per share in cash, up 7% on Concord's $1.16.

British independent music publisher Notting Hill Music has signed producer and writer Ian Barter to a long-term worldwide music publishing deal.

Concord wins bid to acquire Hipgnosis Songs Fund for $1.4 billion in cash

The Board of Directors of Hipgnosis Songs Fund (HSF), the London-listed portfolio of music assets, has agreed to sell to Concord in an all-cash transaction worth $1.402 billion, equivalent to £0.932 per share.
