Google asks court to dismiss the Justice Department’s action on alleged dominant position in the online advertising market

Google has filed a motion to dismiss the case brought by the US Department of Justice against the search engine over an alleged dominant position in the online advertising business.

The DoJ — alongside eight States — filed in January a civil antitrust lawsuit against Google, accusing the Alphabet-owned company of “monopolising multiple digital advertising technology products in violation of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act.”

Music licensing platform and marketplace Songtradr has acquired online music store and community Bandcamp. In parallel, Bandcamp parent company Epic Games — producer of the game 'Fortnite' — is investing in Songtradr to support Bandcamp’s successful integration into Songtradr. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

FTC and 17 states file competition lawsuit against Amazon for dominant position
