Warner Music Czech Republic invests in local hip-hop label Mike Roft

Warner Music Czech Republic has renewed its partnership and invested in local hip-hop label Mike Roft, the company set up by Czech artists Calin and D-Kop, and video director and graphic designer Radim Zboril, who will remain investors in the venture and will continue to manage it as an independent label.

Marathon Artists and Transgressive Publishing sign punk band HotWax

London-based music companies Marathon Artists and Transgressive Publishing have signed British punk band HotWax to, respectively, a recording agreement and a global music publishing deal.

The three-piece band — Tallulah, Lola and Alfie — will be releasing the EP ‘A Thousand Times’ in May 2023. ’Treasure’ is the first single lifted from the EP. Priority Records signs Sugarhill Ddot

Priority Records has signed up-and-coming artist Sugarhill Ddot to a global recording deal. The 15-year-old rapper from New York's Harlem is the first artist to sign to Priority since creative executive Orlando Wharton joined the Capitol Music Group (CMG)-owned hip hop label.
