IMPALA calls for a change in how music streaming revenue is split to address the erosion of the share going to labels

European independent music companies trade organisation IMPALA has issued a new call to action "to make streaming fairer and provide a dynamic, compelling, and responsible future for creators and fans." The call follows a month-long review process of IMPALA’s ten-point streaming plan launched two years ago. Building on IMPALA’s initial recommendations, the new call is based on three key themes:
