Copyright Royalty Board delivers initial determination on the 2018-2022 rates as part of the Phonorecords III proceedings

The three judges at the Copyright Royalty Board have finally issued their initial written determination following the remand and appeal of the royalty rates setting for the period 2018-2022, known as Phonorecords III proceedings.

European Commission opens probe into Apple’s commercial terms imposed on app developers using the iOS platform

European Commission's antitrust division has opened on June 24 two new fronts against Apple — the first by informing Apple of its preliminary view that its App Store rules are in breach of the Digital Markets Act (DMA); and the second by starting an investigation into Apple's new fees charged to app developers who use the iOS platform.
