Instagram’s Director of Music Partnerships Perry Bashkoff among the 6,000 Meta Platforms employees losing their jobs

The latest round of layoffs at Meta Platforms-owned Instagram includes the social network's Director of Music Partnerships, Perry Bashkoff.

In a posting on LinkedIn, Bashkoff confirmed that he was part of the 6,000+ Meta employees who have been let go by the company. "Yes, I was one of them," he wrote.

Cable and internet provider Comcast plans to launch a new streaming bundle that will include Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV+ in the coming weeks. at a "vastly reduced price," according to CEO Brian Roberts, who was speaking at the MoffettNathanson’s 2024 Media, Internet and Communications Conference in New York.

TikTok sues US government over legislation forcing the platform to change ownership

TikTok's parent company ByteDance has started legal proceedings to challenge in court the legislation known as the Protecting Americans From Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, recently adopted by Congress and signed into law in April 24 by President Joe Biden, that will force ByteDance to divest from the short format social network within 270 days or face a ban. Walt Disney and Warner Bros Discovery plan to bundle Disney+, Hulu and Max in the US

Disney Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery have partnered to offer a new streaming bundle that includes video streaming services Disney+, Hulu and Max.

The new bundle will be available to US audiences for purchase this summer on any of the three streaming platform’s websites and offered as both an ad-supported and ad-free plan.
