Artist advocate Wendy Day has joined the Artist Advisory Council set up by beatBread, the AI-driven funding platform enabling artists and labels to access funding.

The beatBread Artists Advocacy Council brings together managers, A&R and industry executives to guide independent artist. Listed music companies’ market cap up 2.4% to $217.5bn in Q2 2024 — report

Music industry listed companies had a combined market capitalisation of $217.5 billion at the end of June 2024, up 2.4% compared with $212.4bn at the start of April and up 11.9% compared to $194.2bn at the beginning of the year, according to the Omdia's Music Industry Sharewatch, 2Q24. Beatport teams up with fraud detection company Beatdapp Software to combat fraudulent stream manipulation

DJ-centric platform Beatport has joined forces with fraud detection specialist Beatdapp Software "to ensure the authenticity of every stream on Beatport’s platform while eradicating fraudulent activities."
