South Korea’s competition regulator approves the Microsoft-Activision merger

South Korea's antitrust regulator has approved Microsoft's $69 billion proposed acquisition of gaming company Activision Blizzard on the grounds that the merger between the two companies would not affect the domestic gaming market.

Spotify and the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) launched a new Opt-In Portal allowing NMPA music publishers members to enter into a direct license agreement for expanded audiovisual rights in the US. The NMPA Opt-In Portal is open to eligible publishers from November 11, 2025, with onboarding continuing through December 19.

Online video growth will boost global TV and video market to reach $1 trillion by 2030

The combined global online video and traditional TV markets are set to reach $1 trillion in annual revenue by 2030, according to two new Omdia reports — 'Global Streaming: Key trends 2025–30' and 'Pay TV & Online Video: Global'.
