Tobias Holzmüller to replace Harald Heker as CEO of Germany’s GEMA

Germany's GEMA has announced leadership changes atop the rights society with Dr. Tobias Holzmüller (pictured, right) appointed to succeed Dr. Harald Heker (pictured, left) as CEO of GEMA.

Heker will relinquish his position on September 30, 2023 after 17 years at the helm of the Berlin-based organisation. Holzmüller has been Chief Legal Counsel of the collective management organisation since 2013. He will become CEO on October 1, 2023.

ADAMI pays tribute to its Director of Legal and International Affairs Blaise Lefeuvre

French neighbouring rights society for performers ADAMI has reported that its Director of Legal and International Affairs Blaise Lefeuvre has died following an unspecified illness.

"ADAMI's teams, its Board of Directors, its President Anne Bouvier, for whom Blaise was in all their thoughts in recent months, are immensely sad to lose their comrade, colleague, and friend. Few words can express our dismay today," said the Paris-based organisation in a statement.

IMRO’s revenue reached an all-time high in 2023, up 8% year-on-year to €45.8 million

The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) posted revenue of €45.8 million in 2023, up 8% compared to 2022. The Dublin-based society said financial results for 2023 reached an all-time high.
