Tencent Music Entertainment Q2 2023 revenue up 5.5% to $1.01bn with paying users growing 20.2% to 100 million

China's music streaming service Tencent Music Entertainment Group reported a 5.5% increase in revenue to to RMB7.29 billion ($1.01bn) in the quarter ending June 30.

Revenues from online music service, part of the Tencent Holdings group, increased by 47.6% year-over-year to RMB4.25bn ($586m), representing 58.3% of total revenues. Revenues from music subscriptions were up 37.2% y-o-y to RMB2.89bn ($399m).

China’s ByteDance plans to pull out from the video gaming sector — report
