UBC claims victory as Brazilian court finds CIDE tax applied on music royalties sent to rights holders abroad is not justified

The Brazilian Superior Court of Justice has affirmed that the CIDE tax applied on music royalties sent abroad is not justified, putting an end to an almost two-decade long legal battle between rights society UBC and the country's Fiscal Authority.

SUISA sues X parent company Twitter International for using unlicensed music

Music rights licensing entity SUISA Digital Licensing, a subsidiary of Swiss rights society SUISA, has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit in the Munich I District Court against Twitter International.

peermusic renews multi-year partnership with digital music licensing hub ICE

peermusic and digital licensing hub ICE have renewed their multi-year partnership that will see the ICE Core platform handle online representation of the music publishers' repertoire.
