Australia’s APRA AMCOS had revenues of A$690.5 million in 2022/23, up 12% y-o-y

Rights society APRA AMCOS Australia and NZ Group posted headline gross revenue of A$690.5 million (€415.28m), up 12% for fiscal year 2022/23, ending June 30, 2023, compared to 2021/22.

Net distributable revenue paid out to writer and publisher members, affiliates and rights holders increased by 11.4% year-on-year to A$595.2m (APRA AMCOS expense to revenue ratio reached 13.8%). Revenues for Australia reached A$620.6m, while New Zealand accounted for NZ$73.5m.

British music rights society PRS for Music and neighbouring rights society PPL have appointed Greg Aiello as Managing Director of their joint venture PPL PRS Limited, which collects performance rights on behalf of borh organisations.

IMRO renews its partnership with ICE and prepares for monthly royalty distributions
