AV organisations welcome changes to the draft European Media Freedom Act

European professional organisations of the audiovisual and cultural sectors have welcomed clarifications brought by the European Parliament on Article 20 of the European Media Freedom Act that will prevent the provision of this article being used to challenge or weaken ambitious cultural policies set out by Member States to promote European audiovisual creation.

European Parliament’s Culture Committee adopts a report calling for ‘a fair and sustainable ecosystem for music streaming’

Organisations representing creators have welcomed the adoption by the European Parliament's Culture and Education Committee (CULT ) on November 28 of the report on “Cultural diversity and the conditions for authors in the European music streaming market” with with a majority of 23 votes in favor, 3 against and one abstention.
