France news producers’ alliance empowers SACEM to negotiate with online platform remuneration for the use of news content

The Alliance de la Presse d’Information Générale (General News Press Alliance), which represents some 300 of France's news producers, has entrusted French rights society SACEM to negotiate with digital platforms the new remuneration right for the use of news content, under the provision of the new law on news neighbouring rights.

Four new Directors have been appointed to the Members' Council of PRS for Music during the British rights society's 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in London June 4.
