French label Wagram Music endorses Deezer’s new ‘artist-centric’ model

French independent music company Wagram Music, part of Wagram Stories, has expressed its support for Deezer's new "artist-centric" approach outlined a few weeks ago. The music streaming service, in partnership with Universal Music Group, plans to change the way music royalties are calculated and allocated, moving away from the current pro rata model to embrace an "artist-centric" model.
