France’s SCPP posted collections down 1.6% to €85.1 million in 2023

France's neighbouring rights society SCPP has collected €85.1 million in 2023, down 1.6% compared to 2022 (€86.6m).

SCPP said the slight drop was mainly due to a decrease year-over-year in collections from private copying that was not offset by an increase in collections from equitable remuneration in the sector of nightclubs and bars well as other businesses using background music.

French neighbouring rights society for performers ADAMI has reported that its Director of Legal and International Affairs Blaise Lefeuvre has died following an unspecified illness.

"ADAMI's teams, its Board of Directors, its President Anne Bouvier, for whom Blaise was in all their thoughts in recent months, are immensely sad to lose their comrade, colleague, and friend. Few words can express our dismay today," said the Paris-based organisation in a statement.

IMRO’s revenue reached an all-time high in 2023, up 8% year-on-year to €45.8 million

The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) posted revenue of €45.8 million in 2023, up 8% compared to 2022. The Dublin-based society said financial results for 2023 reached an all-time high.
