Spotify will charge Premium subscribers in France an additional €0.13/month to account for the new tax on music streaming

Spotify has informed its Premium subscribers in France that, from July 1, subscription rates will increase between €0.07 and €0.22 per month, depending on the plan.

The Premium subscription, previously costing €10.99 will be raised to €11.12/month (a €0.13increase); the Duo option will cost €15.17/month, up €0.18; the Family plan will increase by €0.22 to €18.21; and the Student offer will cost €0.07 more to €6.06.

European Commission has ‘very serious’ issues about ‘non-compliant’ Apple

The European Commission's head of competition Margrethe Vestager warned Apple aboiut its alleged non compliance with European Union law regarding the functioning of the Apple App Store.

Speaking on CNBC, Vestager said the European Commission — which has been looking into the workings of the Apple store, alongside Meta and Alphabet as part of a probe — has concerns about Apple's compliance with the Digital Markets Act, the online regulation adopted last year by the EU.
