Canadian Music Week acquired by Loft Entertainment and Oak View Group

Canadian entertainment company Loft Entertainment, founded by former Universal Music Canada's CEO Randy Lennox, and US-based venue development and management firm Oak View Group (OVG), have partnered to acquire music festival and conference Canadian Music Week (CMW).

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Neill Dixon, the Founder and President of CMW, who has been at the helm of the event for the past 42 years, will retire after this year's event taking place June 3-8.

Symphonic Distribution names Guji Lorenzana as Territory Manager for Asia

Tampa, Florida-based Symphonic Distribution has hired Guji Lorenzana as the first Territory Manager covering Asia for the music technology and services company for independent labels, managers, and artists.
