Motion Picture Association appoints FBI official Larissa Knapp to oversee its global content protection operations

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) has appointed Larissa Knapp to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Content Protection Officer. Based in Washington, Knapp will report to Karyn Temple, Senior Executive Vice President and Global General Counsel for the MPA.

European Union's Luxembourg-based General Court has affirmed the European Commission's decision to name Bytedance-owned platform TikTok as a "gatekeeper" under the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

EU’s AI Act has entered into force on July 12
