Ana Grettel Coto named Director General of Costa Rica’s rights organisation AIE

IP lawyer Ana Grettel Coto has been appointed Director General of Costa Rica's rights organisation Asociación de intérpretes y ejecutantes musicales-AIE (Association of musical performers and interpreters). She previously served as Legal advisor to ACAM - Asociación de Compositores y Autores Musicales (Association of Composers and Musical Authors) of Costa Rica. Founded in 2004, AIE Costa Rica is governed by both the Law of Associations and the Copyright and Related Rights Law No. 6683.

SACEM drops its administration fee applied to online rights to 7% in 2026

France's rights society SACEM has disclosed that it will be applying a lower commission rate of 7% to online rights in 2026, down from 8% two years ago. Creative Industries News understand that SACEM's admin rate for online royalties has dropped by three percentage points in 10 years. In 2016, the rate was of 10%. IMRO expands partnership with Audoo
