Canada’s CMRRA launches an international collection service for music publishers

The Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA) has launched its International Collections services, allowing members to collect mechanical royalties from the USA's Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) and through IMPEL, the international collections agency for independent publishers.

Rights societies BMI and ASCAP settle with US radio collective RMLC in deals reflecting a rise in performance royalties

US music rights society BMI and the Radio Music License Committee (RMLC), which represents the commercial radio sector, have reached a settlement of their rate court proceeding.
