Brazil’s ECAD collected €290 million in 2024, up 12% compared to 2023; UBC made for 62% of total distribution of €230m

ECAD (Escritório Central de Arrecadação e Distribuição), the Brazilian central collection agency for performance rights, has collected a record BRL 1.83 billion (€290m) in 2024, up 12% compared to 2023, and distributed BRL 1.483bn (€230bn) to its members — rights societies ABRAMUS, AMAR, ASSIM, SBACEM, SICAM, SOCINPRO and UBC.

CISAC global collections rose to €13.97bn in 2024, up 6.6% over 2023, boosted by digital
