Alphabet and Google under siege

Recent decisions by courts and regulatorss on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean proved costly for Google parent Alphabet, but the outcome could have been a lot worse.

Latin American policymakers urged ‘to protect and preserve’ IP rights

A coalition of 35 creative and cultural organisations across Latin America have launched JusticIA, an initiative calling on policymakers "to protect and preserve the exclusive intellectual property rights of authors, artists, producers and publishers." USTR calls for comments to inform its annual Notorious Markets List

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has launched a request for comments as part of the annual 2025 Review of Notorious Markets for Counterfeiting and Piracy (known as the Notorious Markets List).
